Toffler Festival 2023, 27 May
When an underground club goes above ground, it can only mean brighter days are coming. Rotterdam’s club TOFFLER takes its moveable sound system and characteristic light shows to the park for the annual outdoor festival, where heavyweights like Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Rebekah, and Reinier Zonneveld (live) will make the ground shake. You’ll also catch Benny Rodrigues, Joëlla Jackson, and Patrick Topping.
Pleinvrees Festival 2023, 27 May
Take the ferry up north on Saturday for a day of live acts, talent, and heavy hitters. Polo & Pan will play a DJ set full of their tropical synth house and disco bangers next to Olympe, Jamiie, and Fritz Kalkbrenner (live) – no question that the NDSM wharf will transform into a steaming hot downtown bash. Kölsch is closing the night, so prepare to lose your friends in the electronic madness (and make loads of new ones).
Modular Open Air - KI/KI All Day Long, 27 May
Ki/Ki is one of those DJs with a truly signature sound. She’s becoming one of The Netherlands’ hottest DJs, and her shift to playing all-day-long sets makes her even more a force to be reckoned with. The theme is trance, techno, and trippy, and Keile District’s intimate and green grounds make for the best possible background.
Lente Kabinet, 27 & 28 May
Job Jobse called this festival his favorite in the world – undeniable proof it’s going to be a good one. The king of trance plays ‘his’ Tweede Kamer stage on Sunday alongside Fatima Yamaha, Jasmín, Peach, Rey Colino, and many more. But don’t snooze on Lente Kabinet’s Saturday at ‘t Twiske, because Angel D’Lite, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Long Bram, Palms Trax, and many other top selectors will open this festival season together with you.
Fiesta Macumba XL, 28 May
Lovers of reggaeton, merengue, cumbia, dancehall, salsa, and bachata, unite: Fiesta Macumba XL strikes down in Utrecht this Sunday, and their recipe remains as flirty and sunny as ever. TivoliVredenburg is one of the largest concert venues in The Netherlands, so this full-on take-over will see dancers swarm through all of its six halls. No wonder they call it an XL party!
Solid. Grooves Amsterdam, 28 May
What’s in a name? Solid. Grooves wants you to dance, and they’ve found the perfect spot near Sloterdijk in Amsterdam to make you feel free while doing so. DJs like Dennis Cruz, Lola Palmer, Michael Bibi, and Nicole Moudaber will bring their most rhythmic and deepest tracks – you bring the moves.
De Zon Festival, 28 May
Seven stages, almost every genre of music imaginable, and the following day off? Better believe it! De Zon translates to ‘the sun’, and the forecast’s looking good for this day in more ways than one. The organizers have invited seven popping collectives to take over the stages, so, only fair to bring your friends too…
