Yes. TicketSwap aims to facilitate a safe swap. To keep it safe we check uploaded e-tickets in multiple ways. When the e-ticket and seller are checked, a checkmark will show along with the line 'E-ticket checked'. The Facebook login will help you to determine whether a potential seller is credible. It will show his/her avatar, number of friends and how many successful swaps he or she has made.
As much as we would like to say that TicketSwap is 100% safe, this is impossible as it remains with the selling of second hand tickets. We control the tickets in various ways but sometimes something can go wrong, fortunately this is very rare as 99.5% everything works out well. In case of fraud, a seller is permanently banned from TicketSwap.
Which checks are you doing?
In order to maintain TicketSwaps safe swap environment we do the following:
TicketSwap uses a Facebook login that enables buyers to check how many friends a potential seller has and
how many successful swaps he or she has made.
We check uploaded e-tickets in multiple ways (location, price, correct date etc.). We aim to check this as soon as possible
once an e-ticket is uploaded to our server. When an e-ticket is checked, it will show a checkmark along with
the line "E-ticket checked"
All barcodes of uploaded tickets are checked to prevent double tickets at TicketSwap.
Sellers have to log in with Facebook, so buyers will know who they're buying from. The Facebook login enables
buyers to check how many friends a potential seller has so buyers can determine whether the potential seller is credible.
Buyers are able to evaluate sellers after the event. A positive evaluation will be displayed on the sellers listing page.
TicketSwap sends a text message to a seller when a ticket is sold. So we make sure that a seller is directly informed when a ticket is sold.
Sellers who receive a negative evaluation will be temporarily blocked from TicketSwap. We'll investigate the issue
and will permanently remove the seller if a solution to the issue stays out.
The sellers information (name, bank account number, phone number, e-mail, etc.) are known to us. In case of fraud we are able to provide
this information to the authorities.
